About Adesuwa Dawodu
Throughout her work and project experience, Adesuwa Dawodu has demonstrated a consistent interest in understanding how systems work and how they can be improved. Her technical background includes experience with PLC programming, HMI development, sensor integration, CAD modeling, and manufacturing techniques. This combination of skills allows her to approach engineering challenges from both the traditional engineering and controls perspectives.
Adesuwa has designed and developed automation projects involving conveyor systems, product tracking, and classification logic using industrial programming standards and simulation platforms. Through these experiences, she gained practical exposure to structured PLC programming, troubleshooting, human-machine interface design, and the integration of hardware and software components within automated environments. Adesuwa is a member of the International Society of Automation, which she joined in 2026. She joined the organization in early 2026 and has attended a few events since then. She is also a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
In addition to her controls experience, Adesuwa has worked extensively with engineering design tools such as Siemens NX, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, and AutoCAD. She has applied these tools to create detailed component models, assemblies, and engineering drawings while incorporating principles of design for manufacturability and functionality. Her familiarity with ANSYS Workbench has further strengthened her analytical abilities by enabling her to evaluate designs under realistic operating conditions.
Adesuwa is particularly interested in opportunities that allow her to combine technical problem-solving with continuous learning. She is drawn to environments where innovation, teamwork, and operational excellence are valued, and where engineers are encouraged to take ownership of their work while expanding their expertise.
Adesuwa will be presenting her research at the International Mechanical Engineering Congress & Exposition (IMECE) conference in November 2026.
